Bridge the Gap Seminar

Please Note:

           Every newly admitted State Bar member must complete the Bridge the Gap seminar within six months prior to admission, or within twelve month's after admission.

           Therefore, on behalf of the State Bar and its Young Lawyers Section, I am pleased to provide you with it's online seminar which includes the required Bridge the Gap Continuing Education material. We have received the necessary approval from the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Commission, the State Bar's Board of Governors and the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals to enable you to review the Bridge the Gap Seminar online, earn the required Mandatory Continuing Legal Education credit, and have it provided to you free of charge.

           The Bridge the Gap seminar consists of legal ethics, office management, and the State Bar's programs and services. In addition, there are welcoming comments from the State Bar President and the Young Lawyers Section Chairperson.

           Once you have completed the online seminar, you need to certify that you have completed the required course by submitting MCLE Form C (Section 3). You may print the from from the Sate Bar web site - www.wvbar.org. The total number of credits from the Bridge the Gap course are 2.00 including I 2.00. credits in legal ethics/office management.
